CMYUK has announced that it will showcase the new generation JWEI SG1625 and JWEI SG3216 digital cutting systems for the first time in public in the UK at The Print Show later this month.
Available for viewing on stand P270, CMYUK says the latest systems offer upgraded speed, control, usability and production capabilities, with visitors able to learn more about these improvements during the show.
According to CMYUK, cutting speeds have now increased by 33.3% to 2,000mm per second, supported by an upgraded internal drive system designed to deliver smoother movement, faster response, and improved stability across the X, Y, Z and T axis. Operating noise has also been reduced to 64 db.
The SG1625 has a 1.6m x 2.5m cutting area and is suitable for everyday commercial work across signage, display graphics, POS, packaging, textiles, and specialist applications. Sister solution the SG3216 features a 3.2m x 1.6m bed format, which the company says gives users access to “true super-wide cutting in a more practical footprint”.
In addition, for textile production, the new SG3216 can be paired with an optional rear de-tensioning unit developed by Neolt Factory, which synchronises with the conveyor to feed roll media in a stable, controlled state, helping to reduce stretching and distortion.
