This BPIF-led panel will explore how current and forthcoming EU legislation is affecting UK print businesses, highlighting the challenges, opportunities and compliance requirements emerging across the sector. As regulations continue to evolve, the session will provide valuable insight into what businesses need to be aware of and how they can prepare for future changes.
Bringing together panellists from different areas of the print industry, the discussion will combine strategic perspectives with real-world experience. Attendees will hear practical insights, concerns and lessons learned from organisations already navigating these developments, offering a clearer understanding of the potential impact on their own businesses.

Charles Jarrold
Chief Executive BPIFThe BPIF, represent the sector’s views and interests to government, produce research and insights for the industry as well as networking and events to support a modern progressive print sector. The BPIF also provides consultancy services to member companies focussed on employment advice and support, as well as health, safety & environmental guidance.
Prior to joining the BPIF, Charles qualified as a Chartered Accountant and subsequently held senior financial, operational and leadership roles in the print and publishing sectors, including St Ives Plc, Southernprint Ltd (part of Gannett Inc.), United Business Media plc and the US Information services group International Data Group Inc.

Anthony Rowell
Sales & Customer Success Director and Sustainability Lead TradeprintHe chairs the BPIF Environmental Forum and the IPIA Standards & Best Practice Committee, sits on the IPIA Council, giving him a close view of how shifting legislation lands on UK printers in practice. Tradeprint was named Printweek's Innovation of the Year for Business Strategy in 2026.

Talia Goldman
ESG Director – Europe & UKISabertShe has worked in multiple roles across political communication, campaigning, and sustainability. This includes leading pan-European engagement on the 2019 European Elections for the European Parliament in Brussels and in the Cabinet Office where she advised on the UK’s COP26 nature campaign and policy priorities on illegal deforestation, Indigenous Peoples and business engagement.
She is Co-Chair of the Alliance for Fibre-Based Packaging. Talia is a also a Trustee of Global Canopy, advocating for a more nature-conscious world. Talia has first-class degrees in BA French and Russian from the University of Bristol and MSc Environment, Politics and Society from UCL.
