Trade Press View: The Print Show and The Sign Show

The Print Show

Following another hugely successful edition of The Print Show and a brilliant debut year for The Sign Show, we’ve rounded up some of the comments from the trade press to get their view on the two shows.

Printweek

In its review of the shows, Printweek led on the news that both The Print Show and The Sign Show will return in 2026, and in a larger hall at the NEC.

Printweek referenced the larger floorplan, which this year reached triple figures, partly due to the addition of The Sign Show, as well special features such as an improved Knowledge Zone and the in-event launch of PrintFM by Deborah Corn.

Also included were a series of positive comments from exhibitors, each of which praised the show and shared details about their experience. Fujifilm, swissQprint, HP, Agfa, and Hybrid Services/Mimaki all reported high levels of leads and interest in their latest machines.

“The footfall was way beyond what we expected and the engagement from customers was very exciting,” Colin Easton, large-format printing channel manager, HP UK, told Printweek.

Print Business

The message from Print Business was that the “show will go on” after a successful edition in 2025. Focusing mainly on The Print Show, the article referenced how many exhibitors were reporting quality leads, as well as how a larger floorspace allowed exhibitors to display more kit.

“The additional space meant that companies were able to show more equipment, and many chose to do so,” Print Business said. “Large-format flatbeds from SwissQPrint, Fujifilm, Inktec, China Print Supplies and rollfed presses from the likes of Fujifilm, Agfa, InkTec, Mimaki, Epson, Mutoh and a huge machine from China Print Supplies gave those walking the aisles plenty to consider.”

Images

Images had the advantage this year of being in attendance on each day of the two events, with a stand in The Sign Show section of the hall. This allowed visitors to learn more about the publication, while staff were able to chat with exhibitors about their own stands.

“Thanks to everyone who visited the Images stand at The Print Show – it was so much fun chatting with you all and we would gladly go back and do it all over again,” Images said in a LinkedIn post.

Eye on Display

Also having a constant presence at the shows was Eye on Display, with editor Jack Gocher stand hopping for a series of insightful video interviews with exhibitors, speakers and even visitors.

“Three days at The Print Show and The Sign Show have drawn to a close,” Eye on Display said at the end of day three on LinkedIn. “We had a great time, seeing lots of people, talking about new products and enjoying the buzz.”

You can view all the Eye on Display video interviews on the publication’s LinkedIn page.

Digital Printer

Digital Printer also documented its visit on LinkedIn, with editor Chris Brock and the team dropping in on several stands including Solopress, Very Displays, Hybrid Services/Mimaki, Antalis and The Online Print Coach, Colin Sinclair McDermott. Chris also caught up with Lewis Evans from Vivid Laminating to talk about the new Razar that launched at the show.

Offering his initial thoughts on the event upon arrival, Chris said: “It’s jumping with excited people, all looking to find out what’s new and what’s happening in the UK print industry. All the big names are here.”

Print Monthly

Print Monthly also benefitted from having its own stand at the show, sharing the space with sister publication, SignLink. The team was busy throughout the three days, carrying out a host of video interviews on its cleverly designed media area built into the stand. All of these are now available to view on its official YouTube channel.

“The 2025 edition of The Print Show drew to a close, having welcomed thousands of visitors from all corners of the industry with exhibitors reporting high levels of footfall, leads, and sales,” Print Monthly said.

“Running for the ninth time, the show again pledged to help printers identify and locate the solutions they need to succeed and grow in the modern market. Visitors were able to connect with a host manufacturers and suppliers, ranging from some of the leading names in global print to more niche suppliers with a more targeted offering.”

SignLink

Elsewhere, SignLink, which, like Print Monthly, was able to carry out a host of video interviews on its shared stand throughout the shows. Some of these are available to view on the SignLink YouTube channel.

“The inaugural edition of The Sign Show has been hailed a major success by exhibitors and visitors, with organisers confirming that the event will return in 2026,” SignLink said.

“Early feedback from exhibitors and visitors suggests the show did exactly this, with many of those who attended praising the event for its showcase of signage. From fixings and fittings to traditional sign-making and wrapping, the event offered something to everyone involved in signage.”

Plenty of other members of the trade press were also in attendance across the three days. These included INKISH, which was busy interviewing exhibitors and speakers, as well as Packaging News, Michael Walker, Simon Eccles and David Sweetnam.
